Summary

Oversight and provide support for Technical Services for A320 family and 787 as well as supporting activities and coordination for operations support such as engine management and base activities.


Job Description

B787 Base Operations Support

  • To oversees and support B787 Aircraft Maintenance Work Schedule at Hangar (SIN).
  • Task tracking to ensure aircraft will be delivered by MRO as planned.
  • Spares / resource management to ensure check completion most economical as possible without penalizing quality of work. 
  • Augment and manage daily maintenance operations of Line operations and ensure maintenance tasks planned are carried out as assigned and agreed in daily operations meetings to prevent tasks expiry.
  • Management of delays / AOG situations and provide coordination with service partners and relevant departments for technical support, spares and manpower for daily operations, delays / AOG / Incidents / accidents.

Technical Services and Engine Management 

  • Oversees all PW engines (V2500, PW1100, PW1900).
  • Shop visit work scoping and monitor shop visit activities to ensure the shop visits are well managed and on time.
  • Work with FTM to extract and retrieve all required engine documentations such as disk sheets, NIS, accessories listing and SB / AD listings on time to ensure engine induction date slots will not slip.
  • Manage and work with PW on all the incoming engine shop scheduling as well as forecasting.
  • Tracking and managing the engine configuration at the point of dispatch to shop and at the point of collection from shop. Be accountable for all shortfalls and requirements to the accessories and engine buildup parts for the shop visit engines. 
  • Work with operations to execute engine change scheduling and plans to ensure engine removal dates able to meet engine induction dates timely.
  • Work with operations to ensure smooth logistics management of the engines inbound and outbound from engine shop.
  • Work with FTM to ensure engine configuration, modification status and Airworthiness directive compliance, including any carry forward items, are all well captured before and after engine shop visit.
  • Ensure all engine related technical issues are followed through and managed together with OEM including any industry support.
  • Liase with Lessors (if required) to ensure engine shop visits are in accordance to obligations of the lease agreement. 

Cost Management

  • To capture and monitor maintenance and shop visit costs related to engine shop visit activities.
  • Verification and disputing of excessive financial charges that are incurred relating to aircraft maintenance, engine / component repair or overhaul for any aircraft de-lease activities.
  •  Managing spares requirement for line / base operations and ensure FHS spares are returned on-time with zero penalties towards CURT.


Requirements

  • Preferably experienced License Aircraft Engineer (B1.1) with A320 and B787 type coverage.
  • Proficient with computer and Microsoft office software.
  • Experience with fleet EIS support, lease and de-lease management.
  • Team oriented and resourceful but able to work independently, when required.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Dependable, team oriented and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in both oral and written English
